Community Guidelines
Effective Date: February 2026
Sevya is a community built on genuine connection, kindness, and respect. These guidelines help keep Sevya a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
1. Be Respectful
Treat all users with dignity and respect. We do not tolerate:
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation
- Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected group
- Threats of violence or encouraging self-harm
- Doxxing or sharing others' personal information without consent
2. Keep It Authentic
- Do not impersonate other people or organizations
- Do not create fake or misleading accounts
- Do not use bots or automated tools to interact with the platform
- Be honest in your profiles and interactions
3. No Harmful Content
Do not post or share:
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content
- Graphic violence or gore
- Content promoting illegal activities
- Spam, scams, or phishing attempts
- Malware or harmful links
4. Protect Privacy
- Do not share others' private information (phone numbers, addresses, photos) without their consent
- Respect the privacy settings and boundaries of other users
5. Content Moderation
Sevya actively moderates content to maintain a safe community. Our moderation approach includes:
- User Reporting: Any user can report posts or other users directly within the App. Reports include a reason category (spam, harassment, inappropriate content) and are logged for review.
- Community Review: Sevya uses a community-driven moderation system where flagged content can be reviewed by trusted community members. Posts receiving sufficient community flags are escalated for further action.
- Manual Review: All user reports and escalated content are reviewed by our team within 24 hours. Confirmed violations result in content removal and account action.
- Blocking: Users can block other users at any time. Blocked users cannot see your content or interact with you.
6. Enforcement Actions
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Content removal: Posts that violate guidelines are removed
- Warning: Users receive a warning for first-time or minor violations
- Temporary suspension: Repeated violations may result in a temporary account suspension
- Permanent ban: Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent account removal
7. How to Report
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Report a post: Tap the 🛡️ shield icon on any post, then select "Report Post" and choose a reason. The post is hidden from your feed immediately and our team is notified.
- Block a user: Tap the 🛡️ shield icon on any post by that user, then select "Block User". All their content is removed from your feed instantly and we are notified.
- Report a user: Long-press on any user profile card in the Connections or Discover screens to report them directly.
- Email us: Contact support@sevyaone.com for urgent issues
All reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Child safety reports are treated as urgent priority.
8. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, you can appeal by contacting support@sevyaone.com. We review all appeals and respond as promptly as possible.
9. Updates
We may update these guidelines as our community grows. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date.
